Honey-Lime Chicken Skewers

This is great recipe for grilling!  I love pinning foods on pinterest that look good and easy.  These Honey-Lime Chicken Skewers turned out to be very tender with good flavor.  I followed her recipe as is with the exception of not using as much cilantro.

Ingredients
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
juice of one lime
2 garlic cloves, minced
1-2 teaspoon Siracha
red pepper flakes, to taste
2 tablespoon cilantro
1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breasts

In a small bowl, combine your ingredients, through the cilantro. Mix thoroughly.
Pour marinade over chicken breasts and turn to coat. Cover and allow to marinate for at least 1 hour.
Grill on medium high heat for 6 to 8 minutes per side, until juices run clear.

Honey Butter Grilled Pork Chops

Every time I buy groceries I pick up the normal chicken and ground beef, and then always pick up one other meat for something different.  I decided to go with pork chops for grilling after seeing a recipe for a pork tenderloin.  I'm not really a fan of pork meat but don't mind eating occasionally.  My husband grilled these and the whole family really liked them, especially the kids!

Seasoning
4 Tbsp honey
4 Tbsp butter
Cajun Seasoing
Black Pepper

Heat honey and butter on medium heat until blended.  Brush sauce on both sides of pork chops and season to your desire.  Let marinate 30 minutes or longer.   Set grill to high heat and cook each side for 1 minute.  Turn heat to low to finish cooking pork chops.

Bacon on George Foreman

In years past my husband has done the Atkins diet for the main purpose of losing weight, and he always loved it because he is a meat eater.  Recently he got to looking into the Atkins diet for health purposes.  He had heard some about sugars playing a role in cancer, and looked into what studies with the Atkins diet stated.  Having a kidney cancer a couple years ago really had him interested in this.  I wouldn't say we are big on studies at all, because every study has it's good, bad, and opinion.  With this one though, my husband made a decision that he's not going to eat a bunch of carbs the rest of his life.  So with any change of diet you begin to ask yourself what am I going to eat now.  So I have been preparing eggs in muffin cups for him to have for breakfast, but knew some different options were needed.  So I thought about trying to cook bacon on the George, and it turned out to be a good idea.  I can not stand frying bacon due to the grease popping and hitting me, and baking it in the oven is a whole big mess even when placing foil on baking sheet.  This leaves me loving cooking it on the George because grease is not popping everywhere and it's draining into the tray.  No it's not as good as frying it but it's really not bad at all and it's still crunchy.  It is time consuming, taking probably an hour or little more to cook a 3lb package, but it makes for easy breakfast throughout the week.  Take what you want place it in oven for bout 3-5 minutes and you have crispy fresh like bacon!

Took pictures with my phone so they are not very good

Seasoned Hamburger Patties

I have been using these seasonings for about 4 years now when I make hamburger patties for my husband to grill.  They probably are not the healthiest because I use so much seasonings, but one thing is for sure and that is they have flavor that can be tasted!

Ingredients
1 1/2 -2 pounds very lean ground beef
Lawry's Seasoned Pepper
Lawry's Seasoned Salt
Montreal Steak Season
Paula Dean House Seasoning
Worcestershire Sauce
Hickory Liquid Smoke

Preperation
Place thawed out ground beef in large bowl.  Add lots of all four seasonings to meat, and begin mixing it all in with your hands.

You can see that I use lots of seasonings

Once all seasoning is mixed in well begin making patties.  Line patties on cookie sheet and pour Worcestershire sauce & the Liquid Smoke in the center of each patty.

Let set for at least 30 minutes before cooking

Fresh sliced cheese is great on burgers, & season onions with butter & garlic herb to cook on grill
